How has your week been? I have been working on a few posts that are really long but I need more time on them so that it helps you in a way 🙂
Today, I bring to you the Best and Worst Dressed at Filmfare Awards 2015! 😀 We all know that Filmfare is like the Oscars of Bollywood. It’s a yearly event filled with glitz and glamour held at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai 🙂 The cameras are flashing, everyone’s posing and obviously the nomination jitters are at peak!
But amidst all that, everyone’s eyes is on what their favourite actors or actresses wore. So read on…drool, criticize and love! 😉
WARNING: It’s a picture heavy post 😛
As the saying goes, “Ladies first”… look what these bollywood divas wore. 🙂
Alia Bhatt in a Nikhil Thampi creation. I love how she has paired leather with drapes ♥ With those smoky eyes, nude lips and the side-swept hair – gorgeous is the word! 🙂
Deepika Padukone in Ashi Studio Couture. She embraced the Pantone Color of the year “Marsala” on her lips and nails beautifully. I love her gown but I think she “being Deepika” could have definitely done better!
Dia Mirza, always the most elegantly dressed actress chose to wear a yellow sari with an electric blue blouse. The colour contrast, the hair-do, going minimal with jewellery and those jhumkas! WOW! We love! ♥
Gauahar Khan of Big Boss fame, known for her wonderful sense of style turned up in a Mayyur Girotra black fishtail gown. The flower detailing on the sides and the trail make it look all the more stunning! ♥
Ileana D’Cruz in a Nikhil Thampi creation. Jumpsuit with a twist! Capes are so trendy right now and we love how she has taken a risk!
Kajol Devgn in Shantanu Nikhil princess cut gown.We spot Marsala lips again! 😀
Kalki Koechlin in a indo-western saree by Nikhil Thampi. What do you think?
Kriti Sanon in a Gauri Nainika green pastel strapless gown. Love her side swept braid. I think I have a “thing” for side swept hair 😛
Madhuri Dixit in Jade. Dhak Dhak karne laga 😀 Stunning! But I personally love her in sarees more! ♥
Manasvi Mamgai in Swapnil Shinde duo-toned fishtail gown. Swapnil Shinde, why did you give Evelyn Sharma and Manasvi Mamgai the same kinda duo-toned gown? 😐 I mean, c’mon! You wouldn’t want to bump into someone wearing almost similar clothes in a different colour at an award function 😐
Neha Dhupia in a Alpana Neeraj gown. We actually loved the black and blue contrast going on over here but the bow which is larger than life spoilt it for us! 😐
Neha Dhupia here reminds me of Ricci Ricci perfume by Ninna Ricci 😛 Similar nah?
Pernia Qureshi in a nude Nikhil Thampi creation. Diva!
Evergreen beauty Rekha in one of her never-ending and enviable collection of kanjeevaram sarees.♥
What? You don’t remember that floral gown in pink she wore at Iifa awards 2014? Well, here’s a look at that one 😛 2 minutes of silence for this one!
Shraddha Kapoor in Shehlaa by Shehla Khan. She looks like a princess!! 😀 Love her minimal yet elegant attire ♥
Sonali Bendre in an orange Saloni creation. My god! Such a stunner!! 😀
Sonam Kapoor went ethnic with Anamika Khanna. Fashionista alert!
Sophie Choudry in Monisha Jaising. Most of them this year opted for black and gold combo. 🙂
Taapsee Pannu in a fishtail Theia Couture. Beautiful 🙂
Tabu looking OTT ( Over The Top) in a sequinned Vizyon gown. 😐
Vidya Balan, we can somehow say okay to the saree but the blouse? 🙁 Fail.
And with that, we move on now to the gentlemen of the night! 😀
Handsome Fawad Khan of Khoobsurat fame
Comedy King Kapil Sharma
Hearthrob of millions, Ranbir Kapoor
Randeep Hooda of Highway fame
Sidharth Malhotra goes monochrome! Those loafers though! ♥
Tiger Shroff‘s sense of style is really commendable! What say?
Lover Boy Varun Dhawan chose to stand out in a complete white suit and hints of black.
This year Filmfare Awards has seen
- More of nudes, the obvious blacks and lots of electric hues.
- Most of them stuck to the nude makeup look with smokey eyes and nude lips. Some passed with flying colours while some were an EPIC fail.
- Monochrome is still a hot favourite among celebrities. Why wouldn’t it be! It is such a stunning combination that no one can go wrong with.
- We saw ethnic with a twist. Some indo-western outfits really took us by surprise. 🙂
- Black and Gold combination was a safe bet for many.
- Nikhil Thampi was the most sort after designer!
On the whole, we had different opinions over everyone’s wardrobe but the ones who make it to the list of Best Dressed Women at Filmfare Awards 2015 are…
