Amazon India Couture Week 2015 Makeup Looks and Trends by MAC Cosmetics

It’s ALMOST weekend 😛 Somehow, this week I didn’t have the usual mid-week blues! This week I’m in a state of mind where I have so much planned for the blog and I can’t wait to see how things turn out. In a happy go-lucky state of mind to be exact 😀

And what actually adds onto that the list of fashion weeks happening lately! I always try to dig up and try to find what the latest trends are so that you are updated about the same. 🙂 So Amazon India Couture Week 2015 happened last week so here are a few makeup trends and looks that one needs to be aware about and try out! 😀

As we all know, MAC Cosmetics is associated with various fashion weeks happening around the world and they were also associated with Amazon India Couture Week 2015 🙂 The fashion show not just presents extravagant apparel on the ramp but also trending looks of the season.

So here are a few looks and the makeup breakdown that you need to know if you would want to replicate it 😉

Mickey Contractor, Director of Makeup Artistry, M.A.C India has been heading the makeup trends for 5 shows – Sabyasachi, Gaurav Gupta, Monisha Jaising, Rohit Bal and Manish Malhotra.

Look One for Sabyasachi ( By Mickey Contractor )

For this look, Mickey Contractor has used deep shades of plum on the lips and added lots of drama for the eyes. Marsala lips are here to stay! 😉 Also, don’t forget to notice the smudged kajal! I’ve tried the smudged kajal look myself and loved it a lot.

Makeup Breakdown – Look One for Sabyasachi

1. Start with Fix+, an aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals, infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile, cucumber, topped off with the fresh, natural, energizing scent of Sugi. It adds radiance and helps prepare the skin
2. Next apply the Studio Moisture Cream, a super-rich creamy moisturizer boosted with skin-nourishing extracts including passion fruit, spinach leaf, green tea, algae, wheat germ and coconut. Moistens, feeds, firms and protects the skin and Promotes a healthy radiance.
3. Correct and Conceal using the Pro Conceal and Correct Palette
4. Apply Pearl Cream Color Base on the eyelids for a sheer base followed by the Naked Pigment
5. Apply the Carbon & Folie Eyeshadow
6. Line the eyes with the Blacktrack Fluidline Eye Liner Gel and Chromographic Pencil
7. Finish with a coat of Zoom Waterproof Mascara for extra volume
8. Apply the Naked Pigment. Contour the face using Shadester Sculpting Powder Pro Palette.
9. Add dimension and radiance using Emphasize Shaping Powder Pro Palette, the ideal shade compliment to the sculpting powder
10. Use Overlacquer MAC on the nails
11. Fill in the lips with Nightmoth Lip Pencil

Look Two for Gaurav Gupta ( By Mickey Contractor )

The second look concentrated more on Strobing. For people who don’t know what it means, it is contouring but one which gives a natural sheen to your cheek bones. Strobing focuses exclusively on highlighter, applied where light would naturally hit your face, like your cheekbones, brow bones, the center of your forehead, down your nose, and on your chin. See how beautifully Mickey Contractor has worked with the technique. 🙂 The rest is kept very minimal with nude lips and a little shimmer for the eyes. Love this look! ♥

6. Apply the Embark Eyeshadow and use Reflects Gold Glitter to add drama and a high level sparkle effect on the eyes
7. Use Lash No.7 for added drama
8. Apply the Hush Cream Color Base. Contour the face using Shadester Sculpting Powder Pro Palette.
9. Use Reflects Gold Glitter on the face as well
10. Use Overlacquer MAC on the nails
11. Fill in the lips with Hush Cream Color Base

Look Three for Rahul Mishra ( By Sonic Sarwate )

My my! ♥ I’m sure you already know the magic Sonic Sarwate creates with makeup! This look is sooo beautiful! Just look at those ombre eyelids! The colors sooo perfectly blended and beautiful. 🙂 I so want to re-create this look myself. Sonic has given a very girl-next-door kind of look here that anyone could try for occasions. The ombre eyelids, subtle glossy lips and a little blush is what has gone into this pretty look. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Makeup Breakdown – Look Three for Rahul Mishra

3. For a long lasting hold on the makeup, hydration oil control and smooth texture, use the Prep + Prime Natural Radiance primer
4. Conceal using the Pro Concealer Palette
5. Apply Vintage Rose Cream Color Base on the eyelids for a sheer base followed by the Gold Pigment
6. Line the eyes with the Fascinating Kohl Pencil
7. Finish with a coat of Extended Play Mascara for extra volume
8. Use Vintage Rose and Hush Cream Color Base. Highlight the face and add body with Mineralize Skinfinish. Apply the Vanilla Pigment
9. Apply Skin Studio Nail Lacquer on the nails
10. Use the Lip Conditioner and fill the lips with Soar Lip Pencil
11. Finish with Roller Girl Dazzleglass
