Celebrating Mother’s Day feat BIBA | Dr Jamunai Pai SkinLab | Bodycraft Salon | Bombay Perfumery

Hi everyone,

How has your weekend been so far? I am typing this while it’s raining heavy outside. The best kinda weekends ever! This is why I love Bangalore so much ♥  If you follow us on our social media handles, you would know that I spent last weekend planning and creating stories for the blog and Sunday, being Mother’s Day, I took mum for an entire day of pampering.  She had so much fun and to watch her become a child forgetting her daily chores was just wonderful 🙂

The first stop was Dr Jamuna Pai’s SkinLab  where the doctor suggested the Oxyblast Facial for mum’s skin type. The facial helped in de-tan, removal of dead cells and gave that instant glow. Mum has pigmentation on her cheekbone which I felt lightened up a bit after the facial 🙂 She enjoyed the whole experience and came out feeling so refreshed! I’m sure this picture can say 😉

The next stop after this was at Bodycraft Salon which had a Mother’s day offer going on where a mother-daughter duo could walk in and get either a pedicure or hair spa done. I opted for the hair spa and Mum couldn’t stop talking about it till the next day. 😀 For the hair spa, they first do a scalp test to understand the scalp type based on which the recommended shampoo and conditioner is used for the treatment. After the hair wash, it is followed by a head message with essential oils (best part about the treatment – as Mum says).

The next stop for the day was BIBA to get Mum’s ethnic fashion fix! 😀 Mum loves palazzos styled with kurtis and BIBA had them in different hues to offer so we went ahead and got her a few. She also bought a beautiful printed suit in white and another one in ginger brown shade that had beautiful embroidery on it. She always finds it difficult at stores to find the right amount of balance between contemporary ethnic fashion and comfortable clothing. She is someone who LOVES easy breezy summer wear and was quite pleased that BIBA had so many options to choose from when compared to it’s competitors. Here’s a vlog I made of the entire day 🙂 Mum is a little camera shy 😛 I hope you like it!

BIBA 2017 summer collection 2017 mother's day (1224 x 1632)On Saturday, I also visited the Bombay Perfumery pop up happening at Sly Granny on the occasion of Mother’s day. 🙂 This was the first time I was introduced to their line of perfumery and I was actually quite impressed. Every fragrance is named after the place of origin and my favourites were Madurai Talkies ( if you love Mogra, you will love this) and Seven Islands (Takes you to the beaches instantly). There was another one called Calicut that has cardamom extracts in it. If you like spicy notes, you would like this.

On the whole, Mum says this has been the best Mother’s Day so far 🙂 I think the video above sums it up! What did you do this Mother’s Day?

Let me know in the comments below 🙂
