How are you all? My week is totally worked up and I am busy writing a zillion things that I need you all to read 😀 I’m planning on doing a swatch post for some of the beauty products I own so your views on the same are welcome! Do let me know what is it that you would love to see on the blog in the comments below!
While I had that in mind all along, one more thing that got me thinking was when I heard Myntra is turning into a mobile-only site! I mean I can’t remember the number of times I have shopped from them, probably umpteen 😛 So when I heard about them switching to a mobile-only site, I started pondering. So here I am, penning that down for you all. Do let me know if you agree with me at the end 🙂
First they said you could send messages, then they said you can talk, then play games, then they said you can play music, then they said you can click pictures and then we could browse internet… Bhhhhaaaaaaammmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!
INTERNET changed it all, the way we are living today is greatly influenced by internet. How? Just look at the device you are holding right now or maybe a few who have kept it right beside you. Yes, I am talking about your mobile phones! In this 21st century, almost 90% of the world population depends on mobiles or tabs for every day computing and living. Gone are the days when desktops and laptops were everything. We all are so dependant on these devices that it is difficult for us to live without it even for a day now. It’s not like “we can’t live without it” but it is more like “our life revolves around it”.
You use your mobile phones to pretty much do anything these days. Right from
- Music player
- Pay bills and
Shopping is something which has recently picked up through mobile devices because of its easy-to-use and easy-to-access features.
According to me, “Laziness is the mother of all innovations & Technology is its father”. Running towards “easy to use” things is basic human mentality. Soon there will be a day where we’ll be able to buy fresh vegetables and fruits online. I see it coming in the near future. 😛 Well, some of you may be provided with such facilities already. But no, I’m not talking about your grocery store bhaiya coming and delivering milk and vegetables at your door step. 😛
You must have seen big giants of e-commerce industry advertising about their brand and giving special offers on orders through their mobile applications. Why do you think this is happening? Have you ever wondered?
Have you ever thought how different is the world around us today, from 15 years back? Most of us were in schools 15 years back and we had diaries in which our teacher/lecturer used to write complaints or compliments. Today the same diaries have been replaced by a domain from schools where everything about the student will be mentioned and the parents can just login with their credentials, check their kids attendance or marks sheet and finally whoop their kids accordingly. 😛
E-commerce sites are applying same logic but with a slightly different approach. These companies want to give the best to their customers. How do they achieve that? By providing various offers!
Imagine how easy it would be to order anything you want from a mobile application. Firstly, everything becomes confidential as it’ll be through your personal/handy device. Secondly, you are always logged in (provided you don’t log out manually) this will help companies provide you customized offers. Thirdly, you don’t have to worry about your payment security as you may use your banking application to make the payment.
With mobile applications, you’ll have the power to carry your shopping mall in your pockets without any hassles like needing a third party application to actually launch the website you want to shop from. Your relationship with the brand will increase as you’ll be in direct contact with them through direct channels.
I would want to end by saying – if the brand and their application is able to provide us what we need and let’s us carry an entire shopping mall in our pockets from which we have a plethora of options to choose from, then why not? 🙂
Of course, we deserve a personalized experience! #ItsPersonal after all! 😉 Don’t you guys agree?
