Hi everyone 🙂
I’m back again as promised! The last time we spoke about Gillette Venus was when I told you all about the bloggers meet I attended recently. If you read that post already, you also know that I have taken up the Gillette Venus #SubscribeToSmooth Challenge 🙂
The first myth about shaving I would like to throw light on is something that I was unsure of 2 years back –
Does shaving make my skin dry and flaky?
1) Never, ever, shave dry. By dry I mean don’t just use water as a medium. Na-ah!
2) Although soap lathers well, it wouldn’t nourish your skin. The same goes with shower gels. Unless the shower gel is so enriching that you feel it could do a great job, I would say no to both.
3) So what to use if not soaps and shower gels? Shaving foam. No, not your brother’s or father’s 😛 There are shaving gels for women. Shaving gels for women came in pretty late to India and thanks to Gillette for that but TRUST ME! This is a saviour! 🙂
4) Use a good moisturizing lotion after shave. This will help calm down your skin after a shave and wouldn’t result in any itchiness or flakiness.
Ever since I started using Gillette Venus Satin Care with Aloe Vera Foaming Gel, I seriously can’t remember the last time I had dry or flaky skin. Sometimes when I am in a hurry, I go even without moisturizing my legs with a body butter or sorbet after shave. 😛 No kidding! After switching to shaving gel, I noticed that shaving became really easy and convenient. My skin felt super smooth after every use. Gillette Venus also helps in removing the layer of dead skin over your skin surface while it gets rid of hair.
In this post, I spoke about how one ends up with dry and flaky skin if not shaved right. In the next post, I will be busting another common myth!
Can you think what it can be? 🙂 You could get some hints on the Gillette Venus app
