Hello 🙂
How are you doing? It’s friday and all I can think of is a relaxing spa therapy. But since I cannot visit a spa because of the assignments I have, I am going to just pamper myself with scrubs and aromatic body shower gels at home. 🙂
Talking about scrubs, today I am reviewing a scrub that I have been using for almost a month now. 🙂 It’s Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Brightening Ayurvedic Face Scrub! Last time I spoke to you about Kama Ayurveda was when I reviewed their hand cream which I have absolutely loved using. Here’s my take on the scrub –

My take on Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Brightening Ayurvedic Face Scrub
Packaging: This comes in a black coloured jar with orange accents all over. One thing I always look for in scrubs is an applicator because of hygiene issues. Don’t believe in dipping fingers inside a jar of scrub. Nah uh! 😀 Thankfully, this comes with a wooden spoon! I have traveled with this previously and haven’t had any issues. Totally travel friendly. 🙂
Fragrance and texture: This smells purely ayurvedic(duh) but in a pleasant way with a hint of saffron. The texture is not too grainy. The scrub is mild and just like how I like mine to be.
I know there are a lot of people who think scrubs need to be very grainy to actually scrub against your skin. Nope, not at all. Scrubs that are just a bit grainy do better than the harsh ones. Harsh ones also tend to irritate your skin so I would really suggest not to go by the hard textured scrubs. They don’t work. They in fact irritate your skin more and cause redness and acne.
Results: Like I already mentioned, I have been using this for a month now. This scrub works good for all skin tones and hasn’t broken me out so far. I either use it by applying some between my palms and scrubbing it on my face or also use Braun facial cleanser to deep cleanse and exfoliate using this scrub. I like how this scrub makes my skin all supple and clean. I use this scrub thrice a week and I can definitely see a decrease in the whiteheads. Blackheads are not actioned completely but to an extent, yes. For better results, take a face sauna and then use the scrub. This way the blackheads are loosened out.
I usually use scrubs before I am off to bed and when ever I have used this one, the next morning I wake up to cleaner, glowing skin. The kumkumadi oil is definitely working wonders for my skin like the Kumkumadi Beauty serum I have tried from this range earlier.
On the whole, this scrub is definitely worth giving a try. Be it special occasions or just another day, this scrub can work wonders if used consistently with Kumkumadi Beauty serum. 🙂
