It’s been pretty long since my last review on TJD, well for those of you who haven’t read my previous review, Milton lloyd’s Colour Me Sky Blue, this is one really affordable and amazing fragrance you cannot miss. 😀
Well let’s get to work now, the product I’m gonna review today is a toner from this well known brand called Lotus Herbals it’s called the Lotus Herbals Professional PHYTORx Clarifying and soothing toner.
Well most of you might have already come across this brand earlier but for those of you who haven’t tried it yet, I’ll give you a quick introduction:
About Lotus Herbals:
Lotus herbals is one of India’s leading cosmetic brands it took its baby steps in the early 90’s, it is a brand which believes in utilizing only herbal ingredients ( i.e mainly the extracts of ancient herbs) to make their products .
Before I, go ahead with my experience with this product, I’ll give a brief about what a toner is and how it actually works. It’s always good to know everything about a product we are using right?? 🙂
Well a toner is used after using a face wash and before dabbing a moisturiser onto your pretty face. 🙂 A toner can be simply sprayed onto the face or can be used by dabbing it onto cotton. If your skin type lies between normal to oily its really important to include a toner in your daily skin care regime. It is said to help work on minimizing pores, maintain the oil balance of your skin thereby decreasing the occurrence of acne, totally depends on the kind of toner you choose. So in case you haven’t been using a toner it’s high time you get one. 😀

Product Price: When I bought it, it was priced at Rs. 295. Now it is priced at Rs. 325 for 100 ml.

My take on Lotus Herbals Professional PHYTORx Clarifying and soothing toner
Packaging: This toner comes in a dark green see through bottle so you can actually see when your toner is almost over. It comes with a white nozzle so you can spray it easily. It has a transparent cap which closes with a click. On the whole the packaging is quiet impressive and travel friendly.
This toner is basically a transparent liquid with a runny texture. It is said to contain no artificial colour or fragrance. I must say that the smell of this toner is heavenly. It’s a flowery kind of smell but for a toner it’s a bit overpowering. The smell lingers on the skin for quiet sometime. Well this toner cannot be used like the others, it’s pretty strong so if u spray it directly onto the face it stings a lot. So I make sure I use cotton to dab it onto my face.
I’ve been using this toner for awhile now and the results aren’t impressive at all. My skin is a combination of oily and sensitive so in case you are of a similar skin type, you’d rather skip this one. A toner is supposed to control the oil balance of your skin but this toner makes my skin oilier and it also causes redness. So I’ll conclude by saying that this product doesn’t do what it claims.

I’m not quiet impressed with this toner so its a big no-no from my side. I’d suggest you skip this.
