October Crush List 2017 – This segment is back!

Hi everyone!

I knowwww…I know! It’s been awhile. You may already know by now that I moved to Canada a month back and I’m just settling down. You might have a lot of questions about all this…how, when and why. Some of you have already pinged me up on Instagram to find out and I have answered 🙂 But yes, I’m here to shape my career better as I wished to. Long story short, it was a quick decision I made and had to move.

My flight journey to this place was great…this was my first flight that lasted for 26 hours almost. There was a pit stop at London that I quite enjoyed. Went to The Harry Potter House there and got myself a souvenir I will treasure as a #PotterHead. Travelled back in time during the course of the flight journey and felt like Flash, for a bit at least. 😛 I was PRETTY jet lagged when I landed in Toronto. I couldn’t sleep when I had to and slept at odd times for a few days. But I was happy…insanely happy for taking this leap and embracing what life has to offer now. It wasn’t easy for me to leave my job at Amazon where I just got a wonderful promotion and leave Bangalore where my blogging was taking shape. There were SOOO many times I bailed out of this idea thinking I can’t lose what I have for what I intend to get. But the month of July 2017 changed everything for me. Now when I look back, I know I chose the right thing to  do.

While I am still settling down here, trying to learn this Canadian culture and you have to trust me, when I say it’s great… I can’t seem to fill that void in my heart that Bangalore fills in.  Home is ABSOLUTELY where the heart is! 🙂 Anyhoo, while I can go on and on about this, I will save my Canadian adventures for another post. With this post, I intend to bring back Crush Lists that I used to write earlier. I remember how much you guys enjoyed it so I’ll have more of it here. So here are my October favourites 🙂

Chumbak #WildNFree sling bag – This was a gift from my best friend before leaving to Canada and I have been carrying it around almost everywhere! It is from Chumbak’s new Wild & Free collection.

Aeropostale Sunglasses – These were the LAST thing I shopped in India before leaving. I fell in love with the frames and ordered them online on NNNOW.

In transit to Canada, I couldn’t help but pick up this Maybelline Fit Me! Matte Poreless foundation at the London Duty Free section. I wear shade 130 which is a perfect match for my skin tone. I have been using this for the last one month and I love how it doesn’t feel too heavy and yet gives decent coverage. I wouldn’t say it is a full coverage foundation, it wouldn’t cover dark spots and acne that much but if you are someone like me, who prefers foundations that don’t look caked up and like a natural glow, give this a try. 🙂 But it does cover up pores pretty well.

The Body Shop Tea Tree oil is an old favourite. I actually bought a new one before I left India but that leaked completely in transit, so I would say not really travel friendly. I love this oil so much that after I landed here, that is the first thing I picked up.

Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel was part of the Clinique 3 step routine kit that I tried. My skin drinks up this gel like water and it doesn’t feel sticky or oily. It’s lightweight yet very moisturizing. It’s almost over and I am going to refill once I am done using other moisturizers. (I realized I stack up a lot of makeup and skincare products that I don’t use so I am on a mission to finish them all)

A lip balm I cannot go a day without is Forest Essentials Sugared Rose Petal Lip Balm. I am already a bit worried about the fact that I might hit pan on this one and I can’t stock up on this one. This lip balm absorbs pretty quick and works so well on dry, chapped lips.

L’Oreal Paris Micellar Water – This is the first time I tried Micellar water but I think I am hooked. I might not go back to oil based removers anymore after micellar water. No hassle in removing makeup and it also soothes my skin and cleanses it well.

Hello Beautiful Bath & Body Works Ultra Shea body cream – Tell me, you’re not someone who shops for BBW just because the packaging is to die for? I will know you’re lying. 😛 I did a BBW haul because body moisturizers are really necessary here as it’s getting pretty cold. Who am I kidding! It was the packaging. Well, this one is from their signature collection and smells incredible. It’s a perfect blend of white gardenia, jasmine petals and magnolia. 🙂

Avene Thermal Spring Water – I had two bottles of this back in India and I could sadly carry only the travel version. The bigger one couldn’t fit in my luggage because I already had like a zillion skincare things packed up. This is just wonderful if you are someone who likes spritzing face mists every now and then. Even the travel version has lasted me so long (almost 2.5 months) although I have been using it everyday!

The Body Shop Vitamin C Energizing Face Mist – This is something I picked up at the store here. After  a few weeks of Canadian weather, I felt like my skin wasn’t really used to the change in climate and felt a bit dull. So this face mist with Vitamin C did the job. I use it before I head out or even after shower and it leaves my skin looking radiant.

The last one is the best thing – this beautiful planner from Bando  that I picked up at Chapters here. It’s a 17 month agenda that is super cute with these stickers inside as well as to plan out your day to day activities. Can you tell I am obsessed with floral? I guess, you can. 😛
