We are back to those boring weekdays again 🙁 Back to our routine work and hardly any time for ourselves. So I thought today I should review a CC cream which can be used on a daily basis to work or just those normal college days 😀

My take on SeaSoul Cosmetics HD Finish CC cream

For people who have no idea what a CC cream is, like how BB cream is to Blemish Blam or Beauty Balm….CC cream is to Color Correcting cream. CC creams are used to reduce redness on the face or to just even out your skin tone. When Fab Bag sent this one in my October subscription, it was something I had never tried-Dead Sea minerals induced products. For people who are thinking “why Dead Sea?” , Dead Sea is filled with rare and essential minerals that are not naturally anywhere else on the planet 😛 That’s why people who visit the place, take therapies with mud packs involved which is believed to give you fresh and rejuvenated skin as well as used in the treatment of Osteoarthritis for temporary relief.

Packaging: This comes in a golden outer packaging with all the description and ingredients mentioned. The tube inside is glossy with twist-to-open cap mechanism and is about 6 inches in height. It’s small enough to fit into your wallet or clutch. I have been carrying it along when I go out and I haven’t faced any leakage in my bag,thanks to the twist-to-open cap. On the whole, the packaging is travel-friendly.

Texture: The texture is creamy-to-dry on application. I quite don’t like how dry it gets immediately when I pat it on my face. So I mix Just Herbs Sunscreen mentioned here with a tiny dot of this CC cream and I am good to go for the day 🙂

Coverage: This one has sheer coverage. It’s a CC cream so you can’t actually expect much coverage with this one on. I like my CC creams that way. 😛 So ladies, this wouldn’t cover up acne marks so if you are looking for that factor, I wouldn’t recommend this one.

I have been using this CC cream non-stop for almost a month now! I got the shade Light in this one. The shade was one tone lighter on my skin because of which it did appear a little chalky. But shade Medium wouldn’t go either because that would be two tones darker on my skin 🙁 The only downside I see with SeaSoul Cosmetics HD finish CC cream is that they come only in two shades- Light and Medium. 🙁

When I tried blending this on its own, it went super-dry on the face and made it really hard to blend. Only after I mixed it with my sunscreen. it went on smoothly. I use just one dot amount of it and it’s enough for the entire face. I would suggest not to use too much of it for every use because it can look really chalky and too bright bhoothni(ghostly) types if the quantity taken is more. 😛 This CC cream hasn’t broken me out till now. A huge plus in that department! 😀

When one thing turns out to be better, the other turns out to be bad. How long does it stay? Most probably 3 hours on oily skin and definitely more than that on dry skin. I have oily skin during summers and combination skin during winters. So if on my combination skin,it stays for 3 to 4 hours…. I can’t imagine using this CC cream during summers 😛 I would definitely suggest powdering your oily T zones after application of CC cream. That way, your CC cream stays a bit longer. 🙂

Cons of SeaSoul Cosmetics HD Finish CC cream

• Less choice when it comes to shades
• Might be expensive for some
• Hard to blend
• Staying power is not that great

The Jeromy Diaries Verdict

I like this CC cream. It’s good for those normal days to work or college. It does make my skin look better than before. But I can’t just say it’s because of this as my skin care regime includes many other things as well. On the whole, it’s worth a try. I wouldn’t say it’s a must though 🙂
