My skincare story #MeAndNature

Hi everyone!

How was your weekend? I had a great time trying some new launches and also filmed a few videos for the blog. 🙂 Super productive! Work wise, I have been hustling non stop at work training new hires.

Anyhoo, most of you have been asking about my skincare routine for quite some time. Although I want to do a complete video on the skincare products I use, I thought I should let you all know about how my skin was initially and what really helped my skin recover.

As a teenager, my skin was prone to acne. Even now for that matter, it’s sensitive and prone to breakouts. The worst mistake I did during my teenage years was try on all sorts of creams to get rid of zits, which actually, worsened my skin situation. Let me tell you about my skin type first – Oily/combination and sensitive.

My mother used to suggest trying natural remedies but I needed something that has immediate effect. I didn’t realize that anything that is not natural is short lived. When you know your skin feels better from within, it brings about a certain amount of confidence in you. After I had tried almost all the remedies possible chemically, my mother finally decided to take charge 😀 Haha. After that, I started drinking  detox water everyday and using only natural home made remedies with orange and aloe vera that mum made for me.

I did not see a change immediately but after following this routine for over a month, my skin started feeling alive finally. Acne marks started to decrease and this skincare routine helped me in the long run. What I am trying to convey here in this blog post is, how natural home care remedies or ayurvedic skincare products helped my skin heal when compared to chemical treatments during my teen years.

One such ayurvedic brand that strongly believes in using natural remedies is Banajara’s. I have tried Banjara’s Skin Positive beauty cream that has pomegranate extracts as well as their hair oil and hair care from Samvridhi range that I reviewed earlier which has coconut oil, sesame oil, olive oil and Vitamin E extracts. Banjara’s believes in the benefit of ‘beauty without any harmful effects’, especially when it comes to choosing personal care products.  The best part about trying natural ayurvedic products is the fact that I do not have to worry about how it would affect my skin. It is natural and has not caused any side effects for me.

I was also so happy to hear that Banjara’s is now listed under PETA’s cruelty-free companies as the products are not tested on animals and the brand does not use any animal ingredients in any of their products. 🙂

Banjara’s made a small video about how they strongly believe in treating nature with love, which in return will take care of you. Spare a minute and watch it 🙂

Let me know if you have tried any products from Banjara’s! If yes, which one? I would like to try some of your suggestions 🙂
