Helloooo 🙂
How are you all doing? It was Easter Sunday so all I did was binge on delicacies 😀 Festivities bring in so much joy, isn’t it? Here’s wishing a very belated HAPPPPY EASTER to all our TJD readers! ♥
Anyhoo, it’s been sooooo long since I did an outfit post on the blog! 😐 My brother A.K.A my personal photographer after Mr.Jeromy, had boards so we couldn’t actually shoot for an outfit post for long. Apologies! 🙁 I’ll be more frequent with my outfit posts now 🙂 I do have a long line up of outfits that I haven’t shot for that I need to show you guys as to how I style it. Like I said, get ready for #OOTD posts every now and then 😀
So today I bring to you an outfit that has two of my favourite elements! One being monochrome and second being crop tops! 🙂
Pencil skirts are my absolute favourite and when it’s monochrome, I love them even more! This was the first pencil skirt in my closet and I love it so much! They are comfortable, cotton (important criteria for me because it’s SUMMER ) and chic! Mine was a high waist pencil skirt that I picked from Koovs and I’ve already abused it like a kid abuses his/her toys 😛 And oh! If you don’t know yet, pencil skirts create an illusion of a longer lower-body so if you are someone who wants to look tall, opt for pencil midi skirts like these as they end just below the knee making one look taller than usual!
When I think about summer, the first thing that comes to my mind is Crop Tops! Although I’m someone who doesn’t follow trends and wear my crop tops when ever I feel like it, I paired this monochrome skirt with a orange/mustard cut-out crop top to create a contrast 🙂 I really liked how simple it is and the cute triangle cut-out on the neck it has!
I accessorized the entire look with some basic accessories – a bling watch, loop earrings, a statement hand cuff and a statement ring. Balanced out the look with a tan shade nail paint on my hands and feet. 🙂
Carried a tan handbag to compliment the outfit! 🙂
For my feet, I chose to wear a strap-on colour-block heels in colours of my outfit! 🙂 Let my hair loose with some volume on my crown area by teasing my hair and made a puff in the front! 🙂
I hope you liked this simple summery outfit of mine! Do post your queries in the comments below if you have any doubts regarding how to style crop tops or pencil skirts! 🙂 And what’s your favourite this summer? Do let me know in the comments below 😀 Also, to make things easier- I have linked the outfit deets as to where you can find them!
Until next time,
Ciao. ♥
