Hi everyone 🙂
How are you all doing? I’m just surprised that it’s already February! We are already through one month of 2017 and I feel like it has just been a few days. 😐 Time sure flies.
I want to go on another vacation! The last one was in Goa and I had a crazy time with all that sand in my hair just lazing around the beach, watching sunsets and getting tanned. The only downfall of a beach vacation? You come back home to dry, frizzy hair! My hair had a mind of it’s own after my vacation and I had to try different ways to get my hair back to how it was. In an effort to bring back my hair to it’s healthier state, I tried Banjara’s Samvridhi hair care range.
If you haven’t heard of Banjara’s Herbals prior to this, here’s a small introduction on the brand from their website:
“From the beginning, the focus has been on offering the purest of herbal ingredients without adding any fillers or preservatives. This enabled customers to use products in their most natural form and hence derive maximum benefit. Banjara’s recognized the growing opportunity to make herbal/natural products that deliver all the benefits that consumers want, without giving them a reason to worry about side effects and damage.”
I have been using Banjara’s Samvridhi range for more than two weeks now and here’s my review on the duo. Let me talk about my hair type and length before I say how it fared – I have relatively thick hair that is coloured and my hair length falls slightly below waist.
My take on Banjara’s Samvridhi range
Product packaging: Banjara’s Samvridhi Hair Oil comes in a rotate-to-open bottle that contains the product. The packaging is not travel friendly because of how easily hair oils can get messy once opened. Whereas, Banjara’s Samvridhi Hair Pack comes in flip-to-open packaging that is travel friendly and is easy to use as well.
Fragrance and texture: Both the products have a herbal scent with a hint of flowery notes. It’s not too over-powering though. The texture of the hair oil is quite thin and non-greasy which is a blessing! Samvridhi Hair pack texture is thick and looks just like mehendi. 😛 It is not colour based though.
Product Usage suggested by Banjara’s: Banjara’s recommend using the product 3 times a week for results to show. Banjara’s Hair oil needs to be applied onto scalp till the roots and massage for 30 minutes. To see great results, Banjara’s suggests using Banjara’s Samvridhi hair pack after applying the hair oil. You can then wash it off. They also state that the hair pack itself serves as a cleanser and doesn’t require a shampoo when you wash it off.
Results: I have been using Banjara’s Samvridhi range for the last one month now. Ever since I came back from the vacation, my coarse hair needed some therapy. I started using the duo and honestly, for the first two weeks, I did not see a change. But I thought I should give this duo benefit of doubt and continued using it for the remaining two weeks as well.
How I used the duo: I applied the hair oil from the scalp to the roots after which I massaged my scalp for about 10 minutes once a week. I could have done the scalp massage as mentioned for 30 minutes but I am quite lazy that way. 😛 I applied the hair pack after this and washed my hair after 30 minutes.
This range has definitely worked in reducing frizz . I noticed that wash after wash, my hair felt smoother and shinier. I haven’t tried washing my hair on it’s own with the hair pack cleanser though. It has worked for me in terms of dryness and managing frizzy hair. In terms of reducing hairfall, I did not see a huge impact and there was only a slight reduction. Maybe if the instructions for usage given is followed exactly, there could be quicker results.
On the whole, I would recommend Banjara’s Samvridhi hair oil over the hair pack. I feel the amalgamation of coconut oil, sesame oil, olive oil, Vitamin E in the hair oil works great for me. 🙂

I alternate between natural organic haircare and ones with sulphates. I am currently using Kerastase and I love how it is working for my hair.
